Party Tips from a Pro: Grimehouse

Grimehouse - the wild man in the mask, gave us his top 5 tips to partying at Jozi's best alternative festival -  Grietfest. And if you can party like this guy - well, then you'll be a real pro.

1: GET THERE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE

I’m generally amped, when I get booked for a gig I’m like the happiest guy in the world – I just sit and watch the clock until the time comes for the gig. And then when the time comes, I get there as early as possible so I can party as much as I can.

2: BE THE PARTY

Always be amped for a party, even if it’s just you DJing alone in your room. Have you ever seen that video of that guy that just starts dancing and then the whole crowd joins in behind him? [link], well, I never knew you could have a one man party until I saw that guy. He’s my role model.

3: GET IN IT

The best crowd I’ve ever played was at Grietfest last year. Everyone was just in it, not worrying about tomorrow or yesterday, just the moment.

4: COMFY SHOES

For first time Grietfesters, I’d recommend comfy shoes -  girls, leave your high heels at home because you’re going to be dancing.

5: AWESOMENESS

Just know that your night is going to be awesome before you even get there, and then make it happen. All of the awesomeness, all of the time.
